Video Niche King LLC ("Niche King," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website nicheking.video and the web application at app.nicheking.video (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide directly:

• Name and email address (via Google sign-in)
• YouTube channel URL (when you connect your channel)
• Niche research inputs such as keywords, target audience descriptions, and content preferences
• Support ticket content and coaching requests

Information collected automatically:

• IP address and browser type (for security and rate limiting)
• Pages visited and features used within the app

Information from third-party services:

• Google account profile (name, email, profile photo) via Google OAuth
• YouTube channel data (channel name, description, banner image, public video metadata) via the YouTube Data API

Niche King's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Our use of the YouTube Data API is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Specifically, our app uses Google OAuth to authenticate users and the YouTube Data API (youtube.readonly scope) to:

• Read your YouTube channel information (name, subscriber count, description, banner image)
• Retrieve your list of published videos (titles, thumbnails, view counts, durations) for the Reoptimize tool
• Search for publicly available YouTube videos related to your niche keywords for research
• Read public video metadata (titles, descriptions, view counts, durations) to power AI content strategy

We do not modify, delete, or upload any content to your YouTube account. Access is strictly read-only. We do not access private YouTube data such as watch history, private videos, comments, or revenue information.

OAuth token storage: When you sign in with Google, we store a refresh token in our secure database to maintain your API connection between sessions. This token is used solely to request short-lived access tokens for YouTube Data API calls. The refresh token is automatically deleted if you disconnect your channel, if Google revokes access, or if the token becomes invalid. We do not share your tokens with any third party.

Revoking access: You can disconnect your YouTube channel at any time from the Setup page within the app. You can also revoke Niche King's access to your Google account by visiting your Google Account permissions page. When access is revoked, we delete your stored tokens and your YouTube channel data.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Service, including niche research, AI-powered content generation, and strategy tools
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Connect to your YouTube channel to provide personalized research and strategy recommendations
• Send transactional emails (welcome emails, support ticket replies, quiz results)
• Respond to support requests and coaching tickets
• Improve and optimize the Service

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share information with the following service providers who help us operate the Service:

• Supabase (database hosting and authentication)
• Vercel (application hosting)
• Anthropic (AI content generation — your niche data is sent to generate titles, scripts, and strategies)
• Google (OAuth authentication, YouTube Data API, and Gemini image generation for thumbnails)
• Brevo (transactional email delivery)
• Stripe (payment processing — we do not store your credit card information)
• Sentry (error monitoring — anonymized error data only)

We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

YouTube data: YouTube channel metadata (name, subscriber count, banner) and public video metadata from research are stored for the duration of your account to power ongoing strategy recommendations. When you disconnect your YouTube channel or delete your account, this data is deleted along with your stored OAuth tokens.

AI-generated content (titles, scripts, thumbnails, descriptions) associated with your account is deleted when your account is deleted.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Google OAuth and encrypted password storage
• Row-level security on our database (Supabase)
• JWT-based session tokens with automatic expiration and silent refresh
• Rate limiting and anomaly detection on all API endpoints
• Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to prevent cross-site attacks

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability — Request your data in a portable format
• Revoke consent — Disconnect your Google/YouTube account at any time

Our Service uses minimal cookies and local storage for authentication purposes only (JWT session tokens). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
